Football Auctions

Free Football Auction Software for Live Squad Drafts

Auction Ace turns your football draft night into a live event. Managers bid against each other in real time for players, budgets deplete as squads fill, and the whole room — or the whole stream — watches the same board update.

It suits five-a-side and seven-a-side leagues, Sunday league drafts, corporate tournaments, academy showcases and fantasy football auction leagues where managers want a real auction rather than a snake draft.

    Football auction settings you control

Every rule below is configurable per auction, so the software matches your league's format instead of forcing you into someone else's.

    Transfer budget

Each manager starts with a fixed budget. Winning bids come straight off it, and every manager can see what their rivals have left to spend.

    Position groups

Organise the pool by goalkeepers, defenders, midfielders and forwards, and call each group in turn so managers can plan a balanced squad rather than panic-buying strikers.

    Squad slots

Set minimum and maximum squad sizes so every manager finishes the night with a playable eleven and a bench, not four goalkeepers.

    Starting price

Give the pool a common floor price and raise it for marquee signings you expect a bidding war over.

    Bid increments

Control how much each raise adds so the auction keeps moving instead of crawling up in single units.

    Manager consoles

Every manager bids from their own phone, seeing their squad, their budget and their remaining slots without exposing that view to anyone else.

Auction draft, not a snake draft

A snake draft gives every manager the same number of picks in a fixed order. An auction gives every manager the same budget and lets them decide where to spend it — which is why auction leagues tend to produce better-balanced squads and a far more entertaining draft night.

The host nominates a player, a countdown starts, and managers raise against each other from their devices. When the clock runs out the player joins the winning manager's squad and the budget is debited. Nominations continue until every squad meets its minimum.

Because every manager can bid on every player, nobody is locked out of a signing by draft position. The manager who wants a specific striker can have him — they just have to outbid everyone else and live with the hole it leaves in their budget.

How to run your football auction

    1. 1

      Build the player pool

Upload your registered players in bulk with position, preferred foot, photo and starting price, or share a registration link and let players enter their own details.

    2. 2

      Add teams and budgets

Create each club or manager with a badge and a starting transfer budget, then invite the manager to their own bidding console by link.

    3. 3

      Set the draft rules

Choose bid increments, timer length, squad minimums and maximums, position limits, and the order position groups are called.

    4. 4

      Run draft night

Open the host console and start nominating. Put the public overlay on a screen for the room and into OBS for anyone watching from home.

What you get on auction night

    Real-time bidding

Every bid appears instantly on every device — host, managers and viewers — with the bid order recorded so a close finish is never in dispute.

    Streaming overlays

Broadcast-ready browser sources for OBS and vMix showing the current player, the leading bid, live standings and completed squads.

    Budget and squad limits

Budgets and slot counts update as players are sold, and managers are stopped from bidding beyond what they can actually afford.

    Remote managers welcome

Managers join from anywhere. A draft night with half the room dialling in works exactly the same as one with everyone in the same pub.

    Football auction FAQs

Can I use this for a fantasy football auction league?

Yes. Give each manager a budget in points, load your player pool, and run the auction live. Managers bid from their own devices and squads build in real time.

    Does it handle position limits?

You can group the pool by position and set squad minimums and maximums so every manager ends the draft with a balanced, playable squad.

Is there a limit on squad size or number of teams?

No. Add as many managers and as many players as your league needs — pricing does not scale with the size of your draft.

Can we run the draft entirely online?

Yes. Every manager gets their own console link and bids from a phone or laptop, so the draft works with everyone remote, everyone in one room, or any mix of the two.

    Can I stream draft night?

Add the overlay URL as a browser source in OBS or vMix and your stream shows the player on the block, the current bid and the standings as they change.
