Volleyball auction settings you control
Every rule below is configurable per auction, so the software matches your league's format instead of forcing you into someone else's.
Team budget
Each team starts with the same budget in currency or points, and every winning bid is deducted the moment the player is sold.
Position groups
Call the pool in groups — setters, outside hitters, opposite hitters, middle blockers and liberos — so captains build a rotation rather than collecting whoever is loudest.
Position limits
Cap how many players a team can take from any one position, so nobody finishes the auction with four liberos and no setter.
Roster size
Set minimum and maximum roster sizes — typically twelve for indoor — so every team can field six on court plus substitutes.
Base price
Give the pool a common starting price and raise it for the players you expect a contest over.
Bid increments
Choose how much each raise adds so a hotly contested setter does not take fifteen minutes to sell.
Rosters that can actually field a rotation
Indoor volleyball puts six on court in a fixed rotation, and each of those positions is a genuinely different job. A draft that ignores position is a draft that produces unplayable teams, so the auction has to enforce structure while still letting captains compete for the players they want.
Auction Ace does that by letting you group the pool by position, call each group as its own round, and cap how many players a team may take from each. Captains still bid freely and still overpay for the setter everybody wants — they just cannot end the night without one.
The host nominates, a countdown runs, captains raise from their phones, and the player joins the winning roster when the clock expires. Budgets, roster counts and position counts all update live on every device and on the projector.

Can I stop teams from drafting too many of one position?
Yes. Set a maximum per position group and the auction will keep any team from exceeding it, so every roster can field a legal rotation.
Does it work for beach volleyball?
Yes. Beach formats use much smaller rosters, so set your minimum and maximum roster size to two or four and run the same auction.
Can captains bid from their phones?
Each captain gets their own console link showing their roster, remaining budget and unfilled positions, and bids directly from a phone or laptop.
Is there a limit on teams or players?
No. Add as many teams and players as your tournament needs — the core auction is free regardless of size.
Can we stream the auction?
Yes. Add the overlay URL as a browser source in OBS or vMix and viewers see the live board as it updates.
